So I'm Lazy...

I have felt like a huge whiner this entire week. Last weekend I took a 4 day whirldwind trip to Kansas, which consisted of 30 hours of driving and about 20 hours of sleeping. Not. A. Fan. Since I am being such a whiner and have been sick/exhausted for half this week (its probably the swine flu, ha!) and feeling fantastically uncreative, I am going to steal this from growthspurt.

#1 - What is your current obsession?
Oh dear. The Yankees are my current obsession, but they are currently shredding my heart to pieces. It has been a rough April/May, hopefully with the return of A-fraud, things will be back on the up and up. Oh, and hopefully the pitchers can become consistent. Argh.

#2 - Who was the last person you hugged?
I gave Dusty and one-arm half-hug this morning at 5:30 when he left for work. He is currently working 6am-6pm while he is on a turnaround at work until the 18th. And he has to work the weekends, the same hours. Sucks. But at least he's not working nights, I guess.
#3 - What is your favorite dinner?
A perfect medium-rare steak, loaded baked potato, and side of steamed broccoli. Delish.
#4 - What was the last movie you saw in theaters?
I Love You, Man

#5 - What was the last thing you bought to wear?
I helped out a friend while they were having a sale at Artesia (an awesome little boutique here in Lake Chuck) and sadly, I ended up spending more money on clothes than I made in the 4 days that I worked there. I got some tights, a few dresses, and some shoes. Whoops!

#6 - What are you listening to right now?

Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Greatest show ever!

#7 - What is your favorite weather?
I love almost all weather, except cold weather...which is why I live in the South. I do love me some thunderstorms, though.

#8 - Say something to the person who tagged you.
No one tagged me, I stole it because I didn't want to think of something to blog about.

#9 - Tea or Coffee?
I never really even drink either, but I'll enjoy some sweet tea from time to time.
#10 - What did you want to become as a child?
Oh my. I had lots of dreams. Astronaut, teacher, marine biologist, zoologist, psychologist, and finally, a lawyer. And I am none of those things and still don't know what I want to be. Thanks for reminding me. That was depressing.

#11 - If you could go anywhere in the next hour, where would you go?

I would love to be in Paris for the spring, with my love. Or on a beach somewhere with palm trees, beaches, delicious food and drinks, swank digs, and of course, my honey bun.

#12 - Who do you want to meet in person?
Ohhhh, definitely Nick Swisher. Great personality, great baseball player. He and I are meant to be. I am just waiting on him to discover me.

#13 - What is your most challenging goal right now?
Ugh. I'm with Kate. I'm still trying to figure out what direction my life is headed in. Which is depressing. That, and I REALLY want to sell 10 policies this month so that I can get a $1K bonus. That would be nice.

#14 - What is your weirdest obsession?
Uhhh....hmm. I am oddly obsessed with reading/learning about the Fundamentalist Mormon culture. I got hooked when I read Under the Banner of Heaven by John Krakauer (which I would highly recommend to everyone.) Since then I have read two more books about the weird sect, blogged and done some research about it. It is just so fascinating and scary that this goes on in our country. I'm all for freedom of religion, but there has to be a line somewhere.

#15 - Why did you start a blog?
I don't remember. Maybe to feel popular. Haha! Too bad no one really reads my blog and/or comments. I guess its just a good way to vent sometimes.

#16 - What is your blog about?
Whatever I am thinking about. Sadly, half the time it just becomes a way for me to vent out my frustrations, which makes me sound like an asshole, but really I'm really actually a pretty positive person. My blog seems to be my place to go when I am mad/frustrated/sad/extremely happy.

#17 - Which blogs are you obsessed with at the moment?
Look at the people I follow, and those are my favorite blogs. I'd have to say my favorite so far are: Chaotic Stability, Growth Spurt, and Carl Zoch Photography. Carl is pretty much the most talented photographer I have ever met (and my cousin also happens to be married to him.) He is definitely going to be my photographer when I take the plunge.

#18 - What is your dream job?

It varies. I would have to say either actress or professional athlete.

#19 - If you could change professions or careers, what would you like to try?
I would still love to be a pshychologist or psychiatrist, but I don't want to go through medical school. I've looked into getting my masters in psychology so that I can be a therapist, but all these things cost money, and I have plenty of student loans as it is. I'm still thinking about taking some night classes in the fall, though. That is, if I can afford to pay for school AND pay off my massive student loans AND have enough money to survive. Time will tell.

You know what? Blogs are perfect places to vent... if people don't want to read it, they can go elsewhere. But let's make a pact to stop feeling guilty for always whining on our blogs. It's a lot healthier of an outlet than the alternatives... like cussing out random strangers or becoming alcoholics. :)
